Carol Andrews
Retirement Should Be Renamed: You are about to get busier than ever!
Carol Andrews may have thought she was finished with television years ago, but television and mass media certainly isn’t finished with her. The difference now is how it is happening. She left her final news anchor chair in 2014, but currently can be seen as the “Face” of ABC 45 an My 48, (Sinclair Broadcasting Stations WXLV and WMYV) in the Triad region of North Carolina.
“I have a face, I still can read, and I get to periodically work with some of the finest professionals in the business!” She certainly feels like she is having her cake and eating it too as a freelance professional.
The same can be said about her writing, speaking and coaching career. Carol is currently sharing her latest contribution to the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series of Inspirational books. Her latest story: Put a Hashtag on Me can be seen in the CSS “Be You” book, released in 2021. The Miracle of my Eyes, is in the CSS “Believe in Miracles” book, released February 2020. The Tomato Thief is in the CSS Book “My Very Good Very Bad Dog” (2015).
“To get the chance to share what God has done in my life and how it truly shifted my path is a gift.”
Carol loves to tell stories and help other authors and entrepreneurs tell theirs. She believes her life’s mission is simple: To sow seeds so that greatness in others can bloom.
“I have found my passion and my ministry, and in my mid 60’s, I have a second wind for life.”
That passion includes three independently published books of her own with two others in process, helping clients grow their dreams and businesses, and inspiring groups with her talks. Carol also promotes inspired living through her Juice Plus+ business.
The latest calling for Carol is sending her back to school to pursue a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health.
She truly believes success is measured by what you give. Currently Carol is the immediate past president of the Rotary Club of High Point, a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc, a member of The Triad Coaching Connection and a former board member of the Ricky Proehl P.O.W.E.R. OF Play Foundation in Greensboro.
This University of Michigan, Ann Arbor graduate is married with an adult son. She and her husband Benny, an avid UNC fan and retired Chief Master Sergeant of the US Air Force, live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with their pug Dora, also of “Chicken Soup” fame.

Special thanks goes out to all our sponsors for their continued support!
In every community, there are hundreds of girls and boys who are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets or who spend many hours at home with no adult supervision. Young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, need to know that someone cares about them. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater High Point offers that and more – we build good citizens through every day leadership and guidance.
We have been in the High Point area for 25 years, but at no time has the need for our services been greater. Your support allows us to keep our annual membership fees at zero cost to members and their families, and ensures that GREAT FUTURES START HERE!
